Managing organizations allow Silo Administrators to efficiently control end-user access, implement group-specific policies, and monitor activity. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create and manage organizations within the Silo structure



Organization Management

  1. Launch the Silo Admin Console and click Manage under Users & Orgs


  2. Click Edit Orgs


  3. The Add, Delete, and Move options are shown



Creating a New Sub-Organization

  1. Click the [+] icon
  2. Enter a Name for the org

  3. Click Save, and the Name will change from Untitled Org to the specified name



Moving an Organization

  1. Select the organization you wish to move
  2. Click the drop-down menu next to Move To: and choose the destination  organization -- both Undo Changes and Save options will be activated
  3. Click Save to apply the change or Undo Changes to cancel



Deleting an Organization

  1. Select the organization you wish to delete and click the [–] icon. A confirmation message will be displayed
  2. Click Yes to confirm the deletion 

More Info

  • User Assignments: an organization cannot be deleted with existing Silo account. The Silo accounts will need to be moved to another org/sub-org or deleted first
  • Sub-Organizations: an organization cannot be deleted if additional sub-orgs are nested beneath it. The nested sub-orgs will need to be moved or deleted first
  • Admin Rights: only Silo Admins with appropriate org-level access and permissions will be able to manage the Silo org structure
