Improvements:

• Silo Translate
  • Added Dynamic Translation: website content is now translated as it is accessed. This speeds up translation and ensures that all content is translated — even when text is added to a page after it is initially loaded
• Log Encryption
  • To make it easier to enroll and use log encryption, Silo now supports the widely-used ECIES AES-256 encryption algorithm
  • ECIES AES-256 will be the default and only encryption option available to organizations that do not currently encrypt logs
  • Organizations that already encrypt their logs may select the new algorithm in Admin Console > Policies > Advanced > Log Encryption
• Logging
  • To improve the readability of URL logs during audits, webpage title has been added as a field to URL logs
  • Silo for Research sessions previously logged as “toolbox-ruby” in the session_type column are now tracked as “Toolbox Chromium” in URL logs for consistency and to improve clarity
• Admin Console
  • A new API command has been added to allow users to be promoted to admins programmatically
• Traffic management in Silo has been improved to prevent site access issues before they occur
• Silo for Research fingerprints have been refined to improve the verisimilitude of the spoofed browser and platform to visited websites
• Pendo Integration With Silo
  • Enables future Pendo.io integration into Silo to provide in-browser user guides and capture analytics on user interactions with Silo service components. In addition to enhancing the user experience with in-app guides directly within the Silo browser, this integration enables analytics to ensure the service is performing reliably, assist with the prioritization of component maintenance, and guide future improvements.
  • User information collected includes pseudonymized data related to behavioral usage patterns, which cannot be directly tied to an individual user.
  • Data processing is conducted within the United States
  • Pendo integration is essential for improving user experience within the Silo browser by providing actionable insights into user interactions and providing targeted in-browser guides to support efficient navigation and usability

  • Cloud browser environment and egress environment data are now displayed in the correct location (were previously swapped)
• Collector
  • Translate and transcribe video collection tasks now correctly display an error message when configured with an unsupported file type
