Your Windows computer may keep references to the old version of the Authentic8 Silo client for Windows even after you have un-installed it and installed a new client. To remove references to the old version:

  1. Open Regedit as an administrator
  2. Backup your regsitry
  3. Expand HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache
  4. Delete any references to outdated versions of a8cli.exe and/or wfreerdp.exe e.g.
    1. c:\Program Files (x86)\Authentic8\a8cli.exe.FriendlyAppName: Authentic8 Client 2.9.11-49-g23c9ef3-release-prod
