Local System Data Exchange
To copy and paste within Silo use the standard Ctrl + C to copy and Ctrl + V to paste for Windows and Cmd + C for copy and Cmd + V to paste for Mac OS.
However, when you need to copy data out of Silo, like to your computer or a Toolbox session, you will need to approve this action.
It is because Silo is a cloud-based browser and as such, you need to give permission to pass this data to your local clipboard.
Therefore, please follow these steps to copy data out of Silo:
1. Use the context menu or Ctrl + C or Cmd + C. A pop-up should appear when the web client tries to place the new clipboard context into the local clipboard.
2. Click OK.
Note: The pop-up is non-modal, so you can ignore it.
How to Paste into Silo
- To paste into Silo, you must use Ctrl + V or Cmd + V. The context menu in Silo will not work
Note: The context menu in Silo can be used if you are repeating a paste.
Known Issue: The copy and paste function within Silo can clear the local clipboard. Even if you don’t click OK, a space character will be put in local clipboard and replace whatever was there before.
