Introduction

The Message Bar is an org-level Policy that applies to all User Accounts within an org container. End-users within an org are bound to the same Message Bar configuration. Changes to the configuration will impact end-users upon their next login to Silo.

Please note that changes to the Message Bar does not apply directly to existing Toolbox shortcuts. However, changes are reflected in the Default settings when provisioning new Toolbox shortcuts.

Display Options:

Silo Administrators have the option to Enable/Disable the Message Bar for end-users or allow end-users to control its availability.

Set Custom Message:

Display a customized message in the Message Bar. Message is limited to 100 characters.

Message Bar Styling:

Customize the Text and Background colors of the Message Bar. Colors can be entered in Hex Value or selected from a palette of 40 colors

Browser Location

Displays the region of the data center, in which the Silo browser is running in, as well as, the region of egress to the Internet -- this can be Enabled or Disabled. If Disabled, the Message Bar will only display a Custom Message (if applicable) and Browser Info if the message bar is expanded by the end-user.
